KOTA KINABALU:Sabah has overtaken Brunei in petroleum output, and the best days have yet to come for Malaysia’s leading State in deep-sea petroleum extraction, besides other smaller, marginal fields.

This was revealed to online participants of the e-SOGCE 2020, organised by Midas Events Management and Dolly Jimayol to help the State Government to promote the oil and gas industry. Sabah is now producing some 300,000 barrels daily compared to Brunei’s 120,000 barrels.

Dolly said as technology is the way of the future, it was opportune to organise the first e-SOGCE 2020 on Monday to link oil and gas players during this new normal in the unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic.
