KOTA KINABALU: Enspek Subsea Sabah and Enspek Offshore Asia signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate on providing comprehensive subsea inspection services to the Sabah oil and gas industry.

Enspek Subsea executive director Datuk Azhar Khan Badil Zaman said in a statement that this collaboration underscores commitment to safety, innovation and operational excellence.

The integral player in Sabah’s oil and gas sector signed the MoU with Enspek Offshore in a ceremony held after the opening of the 11th Sabah Oil, Gas and Energy Conference and Exhibition (SOGCE) 2024 at Sabah International Convention Centre (SICC) here.

It was witnessed by Sabah Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun.

Enspek Subsea, the state’s first Sabahan owned and operated subsea inspection and equipment services provider, aims to boost the capabilities and efficiency of subsea operations in the state’s oil and gas industry with the signing of the MoU.

The collaboration combines the specialised subsea expertise of Enspek Offshore with Enspek Subsea’s deep understanding of the regional oil and gas landscape.

Meanwhile, in the same statement, Enspek Offshore executive director Nor Hisham Mohd Nordin said the MoU represents a significant step forward in its mission to support the Sabah oil and gas industry.

“By combining our resources and expertise, we aim to set new standards in subsea services and contribute to the sustainable development of the region,” he said.

Together the parties will deliver advanced technological solutions and comprehensive services, including subsea inspection services, maintenance and repair, engineering and technical support, training and capacity building.
