Energy4Me Programme
Energy4me is an educational outreach program developed by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Kuala Lumpur section. It aims to educate students and the public about energy and its importance in our daily lives, as well as the role of the oil and gas industry in meeting global energy demands. The program provides resources, workshops, and hands-on activities designed to engage students in learning about various aspects of energy, including its sources, production, and environmental impact. Through Energy4me, students gain a better understanding of STEM concepts and the potential career opportunities in the energy sector. By promoting STEM education and career awareness, Energy4me equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to address the complex challenges facing the global energy landscape.

Zalina Jamaluddin
Hibiscus Petroleum
ZALINA JAMALUDDIN is the Head of Decarbonisation in the
newly integrated Hibiscus Malaysia and Vietnam business.
Prior to this role, she served as the Vice President of Low
Carbon Ventures in Hibiscus Petroleum Berhad and Chief
Operating Officer in SEA Hibiscus, a subsidiary of Hibiscus
Petroleum.
Zalina spent more than 20 years in the private and public
sectors- mostly in the oil & gas industry, in various roles in
ExxonMobil Malaysia (E&P) in Surface, Planning, and
Subsurface, and as Senior Commercial Advisor in Talisman
Energy Inc. She also served as a Vice President and founding
member of Malaysia Petroleum Resource Corporation
(MPRC) under the Prime Minister’s Department. She later
served as the Chief Business Development Officer and
Secretary to the Board of Governors at the Asia School of
Business, a collaboration between Bank Negara Malaysia and
MIT Sloan School of Management, USA.
She graduated with a BSc in Chemical Engineering (Cum
Laude) from Cornell University, New York. She is active in
coaching and mentoring young professionals and women
leaders.

Yong Han Seah
SLB
East Asia Reservoir Engineering Technical Sales from SLB based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 11 years of energy industry experience. Shell Malaysia scholarship to study Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering from University of Sheffield, and Master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Imperial College London. A Senior Reservoir Engineer having worked on a range of consultancy projects for fields in the UK and Europe, Tunisia, the Middle East, Australia, and Southeast Asia, focusing on field development planning and reservoir engineering and simulation studies

diverse industries ranging from oil & gas, construction,
property management, insurance, among others. Bachelor’s
degree in Management majoring in Human Resources,
currently a Lead, Organisational Development with KPOC
based in Kota Kinabalu Sabah, having worked in the HR fields
as HR Manager managing HR full spectrum as well as in the
ambit of HR expertise handling Employee Relations &
Industrial Relations, HR Services, HR Business Partner.

Izwan Shahmin
PETRONAS
Izwan Shahmin, Head of Production Enhancement at PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd.
Izwan Shahmin is a seasoned professional with almost 2 decades experience in the oil and gas industry. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Petronas.
Currently Izwan leads production enhancement team for Malaysia Assets. Previously, Izwan was an Asset Manager at Malaysia Petroleum Management, PETRONAS. He has also served as Manager of Production Enhancement at PETRONAS Carigali and Senior Production Technologist at PETRONAS Carigali Vietnam, where he performed Surveillance Work and Field Development Plan.
In 2023, Izwan received Society of Petroleum Engineering Regional Service Award and currently Program Chairperson of Society of Petroleum Engineers in Kuala Lumpur. His technical skills include integrated production enhancement, reservoir management, well completion design, and digital adoption.
